"Scratch a dog and you'll find a permanent job."

Franklin P.Jones

Many grooming options are available for your furry friend depending of a number of factors: condition of the coat, age, temperament, coat type, breed, as well as your individual preferences as an owner. When we see your dog in person, we can help you determine what's best for your companion.

We use premium shampoos from Nature Specialties because we care about your pet and the environment. These products are biodegradable, non-toxic and are made of nature’s purest ingredients. Coats are all different, from the silky smooth finish of a Maltese to the crispness of the Terrier, these products are customized for different coat types. There are also conditioning shampoos, oatmeal for itchy skin and a hypo-allergenic shampoo. We use gentle and tearless shampoos on your dog's face. We've also added a mild flea & tick shampoo and a de-skunking agent to our product collection.

Dog Grooming Packages

Full Groom: The Full Groom package includes a bath, blow dry, brush out, nail trim, ear cleaning, and haircut of your choice. Anal gland expression by request only.

Note: If the dog is matted and you want him brushed out rather than clipped, dematting fees will apply. If we assess that the dog is too severely matted, we may refuse to brush him since it would be too painful. We believe in humanity over vanity.

Bath and Tidy: A good general tidy up between haircuts. Bath, dry, nails trimmed, ears cleaned. We brush and remove any tangles to avoid matting. Included are trimming touch ups as needed: around the face/ears, feet, tail and hygiene area.

Puppy package: This initiation session is to help your young companion get used to the grooming process. We begin with a full brush out, massaging bath and gentle blow dry followed by feet pad shave, nail clipping, ear cleaning and sanitary area cleaning (if needed.)

Note: A full body hair cut is not part of this service, but we can include touch ups around the face and feet.

Add-ons

Tooth Brushing: It is a great way to maintain your dog’s teeth healthy when performed regularly. Teeth are brushed with a toothbrush and enzymatic tooth paste especially designed for the canine.

Nail Grinding: Nail Grinding is done after the nail trim to file and soften the edges of the nails.

Flea Shampoo: Designed for the flea or tick outbreak. A natural flea shampoo is applied to the skin and coat during the bathing process to eliminate the parasites.

De-Skunking: Let us help restore that up close relationship with your best friend! De-skunking helps reduce the skunk odour when your dog is sprayed.

Facial Scrub: The Facial Scrub enhances the natural beauty of your pet’s face. This mild yet concentrated, lightly foaming facial cleanser soothes and balances. It has natural exfoliating and hydrating activity. The refreshing blend of vanilla and blueberry effectively removes dirt and tear stains, and will not sting eyes.

Collar Wash: We wash your pet’s smelly collar.

À la carte

Nail Trim: Perfect for optimal paw health and beautiful, athletic gait! The nails are trimmed as short as possible to maintain a healthy foot.

Anal Gland Expression: Anal glands expression can be performed if your pet needs assistance in this matter to prevent discomfort and bad smell.

Ear Cleaning: Ear cleaning eliminates odours and helps prevent ear infections. The underside of the ear leather and the ear canal are gently cleansed with a natural ear cleaning solution designed just for dogs.

Handstripping: Usually accompanied by the full groom package - Handstripping can be performed on harsh, wire-coated breeds such as wired haired dachshund, wired haired pointer and most terriers. This specialized service is done by hand and helps maintain the rich colour and texture of the coat. To be effective, this service should be done on a regular schedule. We suggest every 6 to 8 weeks.

Dematting: Dematting services can be performed on some dogs. The groomer will assess the condition of your pet’s coat to see if a dematting session is possible without hurting or damaging the skin of your furry friend. If not, we can suggest alternatives. We believe in humanity over vanity.

Deshedding: A deshedding session is a great way to keep your dog looking great and to keep your home a little cleaner. Designed for natural shedding breeds, the tangles are brushed out before mats begin and unwanted loose fur is eliminated. Not only will this keep fur off your floor but if your dog goes for a swim, removing the undercoat will help him dry a lot faster and will help eliminate that "wet dog smell."

Ear plucking: Ear ventilation/Ear plucking helps to prevent odours and infections by creating a better airflow. The hair around the ear canal is trimmed to create adequate ventilation.

Pad Shave: The hair that grows in between and over the pads is trimmed to prevent snowballs in the winter and tracking in mud and other debris into your home throughout the year. It also creates a safer environment for pets that live on slick surface.
